Round 2 Recap: 2012 Honda Classic

For the toughest ranked course (outside of the Marjors) the PGA Tour guys are tearing up PGA National.  With a new course record set from day one by Davis Love III at 64, and then today beaten again with a 61 from Brian Harman (not to mention three other players shot 64 today).  We do have a great leader board going into the weekend with journeymen Tom Gillis and Justin Rose leading the pack at 8 under, and Rory McIlroy (future #1 player in the world) and Dickie Pride at 7 under.  With a score of players within a few shots of the lead.

I believe all the low rounds stem from the golf course getting a lot of rain prior to the event.  More rain means softer and slower greens which means lower scores.  I am hoping for a little dry out, and quite possibly some higher scores for the weekend.  And for those of you who were worried about Tiger Woods, he did make the cut and we will see him on the weekend albeit seven shots back from the lead.
