WOW. If you missed out on the golf today on the PGA Tour you missed an incredible finish. Ups and Downs (except for Dustin Johonson) with the lead changing more times than it takes Keegan Bradley to step up to a golf shot. Not to mention Bill Haas’s slow and steady finish to get into the club house at 7 under par. While Keegan and Phil both par the par 5 17th, only to both make impossible putts on 18 for birdie threes to tie Haas and get into a three way play off. I believe that David Feherty’s exact words were “Phil is going to have to pull a rabbit out of some where less likely than a hat” in order to make that putt. And BAM dead center it goes in. Then Keegan follows with his putt hitting the bottom of the cup.
The playoff was not as exciting I am sad to say. Everyone pars the 18th (Keegan hit the best shot in there and almost made the birdie putt to win the tournament outright). Next up is the short par 4 316 yeard 10th hole. Everyone goes for the green, and no one comes close. Haas hits first, and elects to lay up. Phil and Keegan both miss the green (Keegan was just on the fringe). Haas drains a 40+ footer to card a birdie, and the other two can’t match his birdie. Great golf course, and a huge turn out on the 18th hole amphitheater.
I sort of disagree. The second playoff hole was nothing short of captivating. If only there were more holes like that on the PGA Tour, the improving equipment might not make much of a difference? Loved the strategy, and it finished with a 40 foot bomb? Awesome.

I can see the excitement with a 40 footer, but don’t you agree it would have been cooler if Phil would have knocked it on with a 3wd? I enjoy a big putt, but I guess I was pulling for Phil first, and then Keegan, and I was slightly disappointed when Bill made that bomb to win.
