After watching the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am, I think I may have to change my top places to play before I die. I may also have to eat my words (Pebble Beach is too much money for the average guy to be worth playing). I have never been to Monterrey Peninsula, and even without ever being to that part of the country I can say with out a doubt that not only is California the place to be, but it easily one of the most beautiful places on earth. $600 might be a high price tag for a round of golf, but can you really put a price on perfection?
Two fun facts about co-leader Dustin Johnson: 1. He made two eagles in his first round 9 under par, and was a crackerjack short of a third eagle on 18 that would have put him in the lead by himself at 10 under. 2. Dustin decided to switch his TaylorMade Rocketballz 3wd for a 4wd. WHY? Because he hit the 3wd too far. TOO FAR! I know, hitting your clubs too far, is like having TMM (Too Much Money) Syndrome. Some guys have all the luck.
