Kyle Stanley went from the bottom of the bottom to the top of the top. What a come back story. Stanley played great at the Waste Management Phoenix Open he walked away a winner. After his downfall on the 72nd hole at the Farmers Open, to follow such a colossal mistake with three solid rounds in Phoenix is a story on its own. To follow up a blown chance at victory with an actual win, the very next week, is unheard of. Kyle Stanley put together four solid rounds in Phoenix and received a little help from Spencer Levin’s putter, but the story of the week is not that Spencer lost, but how Kyle Stanley won.
I would also like to state that in the last two weeks Kyle Stanley has won his first PGA Tour victory, cashed close to $2,000,000 in checks from the PGA Tour, gotten an invite to the Masters, and is being called the come back story of the year (and its only 1 month into the PGA Tour Season).
Check out the highlight reel from the last round of the Waste Management Phoenix Open, and I am sure you will notice that the par 5 15th was literally a thorn in Spencer Levin’s side (and butt for that matter).
